A hormonal imbalance is a reaction to the elevated level of estrogen and lowered level of progesterone within a woman’s body. It is the cause for the physical and emotional experiences that associated with menopause which means is the end of fertility. And also if hormone imbalance is left untreated it can cause diabetes, infertility, menstrual problems, weight gain, and possibly high risk of breast cancer.

Although synthetic hormones are usually used to help bring equilibrium, there are other lifestyle changes you can incorporate in order to help maintain balance, so here is the tips on how to reduce the impact of hormonal imbalance.

Coffee

Coffee may keep us on the go, but excess caffeine in our system disrupts the usual function of the endocrine glands. It would be best to taper down your daily intake.

Sleep

Next up, is sleep. We all know sleep is a very important factor to our overall health and that includes our hormones! Be sure to get enough sleep, and if you’re experiencing insomnia try researching a relaxation technique that works for you and if you continue to have problems ban all caffeine from your diet, not just coffee, but also fizzy drinks, black tea and those chocolate binging sessions!

Exercise

Exercise is good for you, but excessive and strenuous activities can actually contribute to hormonal imbalance. Just like how losing a significant amount of body fat at a short interval can actually cause amenorrhea, or when your menstruation fails to arrive despite not being pregnant. Instead of just your standard cardio, why not add a quick burst of light weight lifting in your workout? This activity can trigger a positive hormonal response.

Avoid Cosmetics

Avoid cosmetics that contain the chemicals: phthalates and parabens. These two compounds are known to be carcinogenic or cancer causing agents. They are also linked to diabetes and obesity. They also affect thyroid hormone levels. So the next time you go shopping for your kit, be sure to check the labels and be weary of these.

Drink Water

Drink water from containers made out of glass, proper hydration helps regulate the circulation of your hormones. Use glass or stainless steel containers to store drinks and foods, especially for long term usage. Chemicals in plastic are known to disrupt natural hormone secretions. It would also be wise to replace all eating utensils as well to avoid further contact with toxins from Industrial plastics.

Avoid stress

Avoid too much stress. Stress can help you become alert and on your feet, but too much can lead to unwanted physical manifestations and one of them is your hormonal imbalance. Go out have fun! Inculcate time management in to your life to help you become more organized, thus leaving you more time for yourself, as well as allow your body time to recuperate. Meditate to ease your mind, in between stressful situations. Practice proper breathing, to be able to relax the rest of your body at will.
